Farmer In The Dell.

Or in the hood, as it were. Headhouse Farmers' Market is back!

The market is located at the
Headhouse Shambles, 2nd Street between Pine and Lombard. Open Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 3rd through December.

It's not only a great place to save money on fresh fruit and produce but you are also supporting local farmers and businesses.
You can volunteer at the market too or stop for one the their events to show support. Like the First Annual Headhouse Farmers' Market Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on Saturday June 13th.

Weekend FUNemployment!

The weekends are still our weekends so get out and enjoy some Philly neighborhood fun. This weekend stop by the 9th Street Italian Market Festival and the Grand Opening of The Piazza at Schmidts in Northern Liberties.

The Italian festival features great 9th Street foods, local music and other activities such as Chickie’s & Pete’s Homerun Derby and live broadcasts from WMGK with John DeBella. Check out the 9th Street Italian Market Festival web site for more info.


The Piazza at Schmidts is an 80,000 square foot plaza where culture and community converge and it's the grand opening this weekend. The Piazza is located at 2nd Street and Germantown Avenue. So get outside and have FUN at some free activities! Just bring a few dollars for a couple of meatballs or an ice cold beer.

The Pennsylvania state government offers the PA Workforce Development web site which is a great place to find comprehensive details on job-related stats, facts and additional links.

PA Workforce Development includes information for conducting a job search, accessing unemployment compensation, career training, education, grants and even financial aid. The site also connects you with more career web sites and lays out PA specifics from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
